A couple of Germs got lost in France; if you know where let me know. [Merci:SussMuss]

Ok! This was nice for once: Last Thursday and Friday the AABER AWARD 2012 opened temporary doors at an old police-station in Munich, which will be razed down in a while. The second day I went there to be confused by over 65 rooms with artworks, installations and performances. All in all a felicitous event! The first place went, not surprisingly, to Botho Willer and his great sound-sculpture. Pure interactive fun of creating noise with a piece of artwork. Second place went to Camill von Egloffsteins Cockayne (Schlaraffenland), which was assembled by two nice paintings placed in an installation of a cowshed stuffed with empty burger-boxes. Nice! Well done! The third place went to the photo-project HAUT, which I didn’t really see, but no wonder, there was just too much to absorb; and besides I made far too many photos, so I will just present my personal best-off here [Sorry about that: I can’t remember who is who and what is what for some of the things]…
Sorry for all the images I can’t show. Further information you might be able to gather here >>
Next stop for the Germs: Iguazú-Area. Located between Paraguay and Brasil there is the Itaipu Dam. The government banished about a 10.000 families from their homeground for this over-huge project and destroyed natural structures for ever as well. Germs completely disike that and try to take back the area in microcosm. After that: Next aim Brasil!
[¡muchas gracias! Fürst von Gürst!]
Yesterday I had the pleasure visiting the exhibition of the Artist Noureddine Chater (born 1975 in Marrakesch). The event took place under the theme “Art in the northafrican spring” in the Hops-Museum in Wolnzach. Besides the nice calligraphic Artworks, there was a great arabic buffet and finally a brilliant bellydance-performance. [Thanx to the Kastners for the invitation]
Once again the Germs made a journey. This time their mission was Bejing and Guilin, were they met strange Cops and other Meat. [谢谢; Xièxie to Marc Dorian!!!]
Bəli! (Yes!) It’s a small step for bacteriology, but a big step for the Germs: They managed to enter the country of Azerbaijan and settled at an old Caravanserai in Shaki. F. Y. Eurovision! We came first! [Təşəkkür edirəm once again to Schukrimowitsch the Great!]
Last Summer the Germs were hitting south on the old shoe of Italy and made a sudden stop in Florence occupying some city-signs. [Mille grazie! Flanketto]
One single, pale, freezing Germ was spotted at Butzenbergle in Augsburg. [Danke Falschetto!]
The Germs are marching through Germany again! In the Black Forest near Mummelsee they took a brake in the conservation area. Nice! [Hab Dank Falschetto!]
It’s been a while, till the Germs could make it back to that megacity. But the love for the allmighty leader Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin seems unbroken, fans even use the method of stencil for promotion. There are historical counter-demonstrations as well. No matter so far, because the Germs will take over anyway one day! [Cпаcибо Schuko & Assya]
A germ just made a flying visit to good old Saint Petersburg. [Cпаcибо to Stephanie & Mat!]
Since the Bacteria are travelling to places far away and not so far away, their home-town was slightly under-represented through out the last year. So now they are back to Munich!
[Thanx to myself, once in a while]
