Check out this great Performance organized by ImprovEverywhere.
About 200 people freace in the same moment in the Grand Central
Station in New York City. (Found on the Woostercollective)
… against the dictatorship of entertainment
Check out these videogames made by an italian crew of webdesigners. The message is: »Molleindustria aims to reappropriate video games as a popular form of mass communication. Our objective is to investigate the persuasive potentials of the medium by subverting mainstream video gaming clichè. Anyway you can just play this stuff without thinking too much about it.« The screenshots here show the newest game: »Faith Fighter is the ultimate fighting game for these dark times. Choose your belief and kick the shit out of your enemies. Give vent to your intolerance! Religious hate has never been so much fun.«
This above was the Operation Pedopriest, which was discussed controversal…
These are two screenshots from the great Mc Donald’s Videogame, which I really like most of em all. But how you can see, my cows didn’t do too good..
All games are available here, check for new ones some times >>
EatMoreMeat in the 24/7 stores in Moscow-City… By the way the cyrillic writing above
the burger says: »big tasty« in transliteration. The last dead pig I found in Volgograd…
seen in the streets of Volgograd. Once I drove home in one of these as an inofficial Taxi,
the Russians call them Jihad-Taxis, because they drive like fucking maniacs.
seen in the Moscow Metro, but I forgot which station it was…
this great heating installation occured to me in my hostelroom at the Volgograd State University….
… streetart in Moscow. My friend Henry read in a the New York Times about this place called vinzavod. It is suposed to be the »Soho« of Moscow and there should be various galleries which we didn’t find. And everything looked like it’s not really finished. There are people working on each building. And we only found expensive shops and two photo-galleries, wich didn’t impress either one of us. Surely it will be a good place in the future, maybe like Bricklane in London. But for now check out the nice graffs:
And that’s exactly what I thought about Grafitti in Moscow. Because this top picture is just saying: »why?« Why do Grafitti in Moscow, because there isn’t hardly any!
Even usual tags look like this… Authorities seem to work to fine!
But this one is funny, but none of my translators can see any sense in it…
At least I found a stencil! But it’s a promotion for a movie called »The fight with the shadow 2«. The one one the right side, I found in Volgograd, and there’s suposed to be a lot more. But it’s no fun looking for it in -2o° freezing.
But I like the product-design. It’s all about catoons… (By the way, this is a butter)
And crazy mustard… look at the illustration – spicy!
Check out this band, I found in a Moscow club (Project Ogy). They call themselve
70s Wonder and do a mixure of funk, rock and well… a Shaman singing.
I really enjoyed that one. Much Respect! One more video on the Fluctibus Channel
After sitting in a russian policecar for about half an hour I finally
made it to an internet cafe. But don’t worry they did not arrest me for
spreading bacterias, they just checked my visa an tried to rip some
money off. So now I can proudly present the first germs inna Moscow!
Thanx to my wonderful bacteria-assistent Irene I didn’t get lost and
neither I’m in jail. So there will be more stuff coming up when I have a
decent internetconnection. For example, I made some nice vids of
a funkband with a schamen singing. Please be patient, I will upload soon.
For now I keep myself lost in the jungle of cyrilic signs… Peace!
